Why None Supported India during Operation Sindoor?

For those questioning India's foreign policy, they need to read the following piece of information (news clipping).

'India aims to sell defence equipment worth Rs 50,000 crore to the world by 2029.'

The size of the world defence market is more than $600 billion, and by 2029, the market is expected to grow to the size of around $900 billion. Rs 50,000 crore is less than $4 billion, which is about just 2% of the total global market! So this piece of information may look very ordinary. But the fact is that it is not. It is a matter of concern for every country; those which export defence equipment to other countries of the world and those which import defence equipment from other countries.

India has traditionally been an importer and a net buyer of defence equipment. But India aspires to become an exporter of defence equipment, and that too in some key areas, which are dominated by developed countries and China only. Not only this, but India seems to be very aggressive about it. That means there is another serious player on the block, which is expected to become the third-largest economy in the world in just a few years and has a very young population that wouldn’t only drive demand and growth in the economy but would also engage in research and development!

India's 'Operation Sindoor' against Pakistan has opened the doors to new opportunities in defence exports for India. The success of 'Operation Sindoor' has proved India to be an effective producer of some of the defence equipment. This is the reason that the world, which stood in support of India in one voice after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the same world became neutral during 'Operation Sindoor'.

In the ‘Operation Sindoor’, at stake were the technologies of the US and China on one side and Indian technology on the other side. No one knew which way the camel would turn, and by the time the camel became India's, many illusions had been broken. The results blatantly proved that.

  1. Turkey's drones are not invincible. Even a military-underrated player like India can easily beat Turkey’s best technology.
  2. Even American aircraft cannot win the war. Not only this but India can down the one the most sophisticated American aircrafts with indigenous technologies.
  3. China's defence system is not reliable. India completely and one-sidedly undermined the Chinese air-defence technology without any resistance.

Once the situation escalated, things even got worse for the American and Chinese establishments. The Pakistani defence system was either equipped with American technologies or Chinese technologies. And none had ever dreamed that these technologies would shatter down like rambles! This has hurt the business interests of both American as well as Chinese corporations.

If you break so many established illusions through a small 23-minute ‘Operation Sindoor’ and knock on the door of a new polarisation in the world, then the world will also be in a state of confusion and prefer the status quo for the time being before taking sides!

This was also the biggest reason for the silence that spread all around while steered her ‘Operation Sindoor against Pakistan.
