Fight Against Coronavirus: Observation from 5th May 2020 Data

A few observations from 5th May 2020 National Data on the Coronavirus pandemic:-

1. Total confirmed cases increased by 6.6% with a doubling period of 10.8 days. Even if the National Lockdown has been lifted after 14 days, cases would have increased to 85,700 if the doubling period was 7 days. 



2. Active cases on 5th May increased at rate 5.7% with a doubling period of 12.5 days.
3. Confirmed as well as active cases per test have consistently fallen over the period and the gap between the two is increasing.
4. Tests per million has been increasing consistently over the time and confirmed cases per test is falling. This indicates that India is on the right path.
5. Things on the recovery front have been improving. Growth in recovery is higher than the total confirmed case and the proportion of the recovered cases increases at a higher rate than active cases and death.
6. Death to total confirmed cases has flattened. India has been able to contain the total deaths per million confirmed cases.
7. India is doing better than all the countries having more than 30000 confirmed cases.
